Help

Short answers and step-by-step guides for the things you'll actually do here. No jargon, no 40-page manual.

How to do the main things

Bring your old bookkeeping in

  1. Export a CSV from your old tool (Moneybird, Excel, Squarespace, Hipsy, Revolut — anything works).
  2. Go to Purchases → Import CSV, or Sales → Import CSV, and pick the matching preset.
  3. We auto-detect the columns. Fix anything that looks off in the mapping step.
  4. Check the review table — nothing is saved until you confirm.

Upload a paid invoice or receipt

  1. Purchases → Add purchase, then drop in the PDF or photo.
  2. The assistant reads the supplier, date, amount and VAT for you.
  3. Check the numbers, pick a category, save. The original file stays attached.

Send an invoice for a sale

  1. Sales → New invoice, choose a customer (or add one on the spot).
  2. Add your lines with the right VAT rate — 9% for artwork, 21% for most services.
  3. Open the invoice and download the PDF. It has all the details Dutch rules ask for.
  4. Selling at a market or online? Use Sales → Quick sale for weekly summaries instead.

File your quarterly BTW

  1. Make sure the quarter's purchases and sales are in.
  2. Open VAT Return and pick the quarter.
  3. Each box shows the underlying entries — click to check them before you file.
  4. Copy the numbers into the Belastingdienst portal.

Match your bank statement

  1. Download a CSV from your bank and upload it under Bank.
  2. We suggest matches. One payment can be split across several invoices.
  3. Anything unmatched stays highlighted so nothing quietly disappears.

Track hours for the urencriterium

  1. Log hours under Hours, or import them from a CSV.
  2. The counter shows how far you are from 1,225 hours.
  3. Keep it honest and current — it's the part the tax office asks about most.

Export everything (your data is yours)

  1. Settings → Export data.
  2. You get a .zip with one CSV per table, a full JSON snapshot, and optionally every uploaded file.
  3. Handy for backups, your accountant, or moving somewhere else.
